academic works - architectural

Below are some of my works in the academic studios when I was studying for my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees. Conceptually they can be grouped into three catagories: Comprehensive Designs, Formal Studies, and Cross Disciplinary studies on the relationshop between music and architecture.

I apologize for not being able to show my professional workonline. Kindly email me at ALEXLTPUN@GMAIL.COM for detailed resume and portfolio of mine.

comprehensive designs

By means of "comprehensive designs" I am referring to two of the most architecturally challenging projects in my academic career. Comprehensive studios, in both undergraduate and graduate school settings, encompass a multitude of design tasks, and are most similar to real architectural practice environments.

formal studies

Compared to comprehansive studios, in these two of the formal study projects relatively large amount of focus was placed on developing the physical form of the design.

cross disciplinary musical-architectural studies

With my background in musicological studies, I always have had a strong interest and desire to pursue the possibility of amalgamating the two seemingly distinct disciplines of music and architecture. Thus I have taken the opportunity in these two projects to examine the relationship between the two and attempted to create architectural design through a translation process from music to architecture. Each of these projects--one undergraduate and the other graduate--was accompanied by an extensive theoretical study performed separately.
